Portfolio and Capability Services (PACS) drives governance alignment, leads portfolio management and strengthens efficiency in resource usage. PACS collaborates and works closely with Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS), a team of about 80 technical specialists, who discover, design, develop and deliver a complex and integrated suite of products and platforms enabling DEECA to plan, monitor and respond to Bushfires and other Emergencies.
Over the past few months, the PACS and DAIS teams have been co-designing their new business model, which establishes a product lifecycle framework, launches a DevSecOps approach and builds a portfolio view of the priority work across the team. In the early days of embedding the new model, we are recruiting key new roles to lead and establish the strategies and new practices with the team.
It is preferred that you have both public and private sector experience, however this is not mandatory. Applications will still be considered if you have only public or similarly only private sector experience.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- MBA or other tertiary business qualification.
- Demonstrable senior leadership skills that help create and sustain a supportive, mentoring, collaborative, transparent and communicative environment for the team.
- Experience delivering complex programmes of business and technical change.
- Experience identifying valuable business change and product enhancements (where the benefits outweigh the investment).
