About the Role

The ServiceNow Platform Administrator & Developer should be knowledgeable in ServiceNow Best practices, to fill a critical role. The core focus of this role is ServiceNow Event Management that will work closely with Multiple Tenants and various Integration Squads.

We are looking for a candidate who can communicate effectively, collaborate with multiple business units, is adaptable to change and will take the initiative to help develop/manage the stakeholder’s requirement from platform perspective.

The successful candidate will be able to take a leadership role in this effort from the ServiceNow Platform space. This team is fast paced, Agile, Lean, and works closely with other teams in a matrix manner. Strong team leader, ability to work independently and in a team as well, ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, commitment towards learning.

What will your day look like?

As a Chapter Lead, you will:

  • be responsible for leading a chapter of Engineers by guiding them on "how" to work and their professional development. They are also responsible for developing mastery of capability in their chapter.
  • be responsible for the overall career development of their chapter members and hold people management responsibilities.
  • take a holistic interest in supporting their chapter members, and are accountable for building world class capability in their chapter (i.e. soft and non-technical skills and capabilities, as well as sharing their technical expertise and domain knowledge).
  • continue to be accountable for performance discussions, approving leave arrangements, holding regular check-ins with their people and taking the lead in recruitment, on boarding and off boarding activities.
  • ensure the ServiceNow Platform is running smoothly.
  • be working on the assigned epics/stories/tickets in Jira/ServiceNow and resolve it within SLA
  • attend Scrum Meeting & Daily Stand-ups and share your updates & concerns

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong knowledge on ServiceNow Platform Administration
  • Maintains, Develop and Enhances ITSM environment including Incident, Request, Problem, Change and Knowledge Management, Service Catalog, Service Portals, SLAs, Discovery, and Integrations.
  • Participates in the implementation and configuration of other ServiceNow products outside of ITSM to increase the adoption of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Responsible for performing daily administration, issue resolution, and troubleshooting of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Monitors health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask, and effective time management skills
  • Team Leader, ability to work independently and in a team as well, ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, commitment towards learning

Experience and Certifications

Essential skills

  • Provide overall support, administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform and ServiceNow applications such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, GRC, HRSD etc.
  • Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications; coordinates application and platform patching and upgrades
  • Perform application development and maintenance, including development of new features and enhancements to existing applications through platform configuration and customisation
  • Develop systems integrations and process automation - fully utilizing the platform's workflow capabilities
  • Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting
  • Programming experience with server-side and client-side JavaScript, Ajax, JSON and XML, preferably within ServiceNow (business rules, script includes, client scripts, transform map scripts, etc.)
  • Monitor and administer ServiceNow Discovery processes in support of configuration management software asset management
  • Provide end-user technical support to resolve issues, answer questions and provide additional training as needed
  • Monitor external system integrations and provide support as needed
  • Provide backup to other team members, as needed, for activities such as CMDB administration, system upgrade and patching, regression testing and releasing of new applications
  • Excellent knowledge of ServiceNow Best Practices and ongoing knowledge of latest ServiceNow features
  • Familiar with web services integrations using SOAP and REST
  • Functional knowledge of ITSM processes such as incidents, problem and change
  • Understanding of agile concepts
  • Defined responsibilities, duties, and roles of each team member
  • Aligned with staff members to develop, identify, and achieve assigned goals and objectives
  • Collaborated with team members to develop, identify and accomplish assigned goals and objectives


Certifications

  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification (essential)
  • Certified Application Developer (essential)
  • Scripting in ServiceNow Fundamentals (preferred)
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – ITSM (preferred)
