Exciting opportunity for a Chapter Lead - Test Engineering to join our Digitisation and Operational Excellence team at ING Australia. Reporting to the IT Area Lead, this person plays a key role in the continuous improvement of our quality assurance practices as part of Agile and DevOps.As a leader in the software engineering community, you’ll play a key role in the continual advancement of our engineering practices through practices such as Agile and Continuous Delivery, but you will also remain highly aware of industry trends and bring the best of the global engineering practices to ING. You’ll actively work in a Guild closest to your level of expertise and provide alignment across the Chapter you are leading.What you’ll do ……
- Work along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to working production.
- Build full stack testing, test automation solutions and design reusable tests following Service Oriented Design principles.
- Leverage the best in TDD / BDD practices to accelerate the delivery of working software.
- Regularly coach and mentor other engineers and chapter members to increase their capability and in turn the capability of the squads and organization.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the IT strategy in your domain.
- Experience developing and implementing the full cycle of agile testing methodologies in DevOps / CICD environments.
- Experience implementing test automation across software technologies, as well as driving its adoption and continuous coverage improvement.
- Proven experience in leading test practice in a large organisation delivering complex software.
- Proficient understanding of SDLC tools e.g., IDEs, source control, CI, test, mocking, work tracking, defect management, etc.
- Expertise across technologies such as databases, APIs, and user interfaces
- Proficient with software design concepts such as reliability, resiliency, scalability, and fault tolerance / recovery
- Core: Java EE, .NET, Testing tools (Selenium, Perfecto)
