About the Rothsay Project
The Rothsay Gold Mine is located approximately 80km east of Perenjori WA and approximately 400kms from Perth Airport or 1 hr flight from Perth. The scope of this project includes mine development (2 boom capital and single boom narrow vein) and mine production (narrow vein longhole stoping). Redpath has a modern underground fleet making it an exciting opportunity for operators and tradespeople alike.
The role involves
- Working a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, 12hr shifts
- Assembling, positioning and detonating of explosives in the underground mine
- Interpret plans and record explosive usage for all types of firing undertaken
- Undertake stope preparation, charging and ring hook up
- Identify and remedy any misfires
We are looking for
- Experienced in underground mining as a Charge Up Operator
- Production and Development charging experience essential
- A current Western Australian Shot Firers licence and Dangerous Goods Security Card are essential
- The ability to multi-skill in underground operations
- Valid manual drivers licence
- National Police clearance within last 6 months advantageous
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done - safely.
