We are currently seeking a dynamic and seasoned Mechanical Checker to join our mining client based in the Perth CBD on a 12-month initial contract. This role will be working on a billion-dollar iron ore project currently in detailed design phase of wet and dry plant. It is envisioned that you will possess extensive 2D and 3D checking experience across dry plant and wet screening from detailed design through to approval for construction.

Responsibilities
- Ensure mechanical designs align with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Conduct thorough checks to confirm compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with mechanical design teams to review and optimize engineering designs.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of design documents, revisions, and approvals.
- Ensure timely completion of mechanical design reviews to meet project milestones.
- Significant prior experience in a Mechanical Checker role within the mining industry – specifically dry plant & wet screening, wet plant - deslimes / dewatering, wet plant - thickening / tailings services.
- Extensive use of MicroStation both 2D and 3D.
- Proficiency in Navisworks.
- Knowledge across BHP processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in current design standards.
