The CompanyGR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries. Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.The RoleBased in our Milton (QLD) Branch the SMP Checker reports directly to the Drafting Manager, the successful applicant would be tasked with checking SMP design drawings to ensure that they achieve design outcomes for each project.The SMP Checker is responsible for:Checking drawings for compliance with client expectations, standards, specifications and proceduresChecking drawings for constructability, fabrication and availability of materials and vendor informationManage workloads to ensure tasks are met. Liaising with project team personnel where required, to produce accurate design documentationLiaising with relevant disciplines to ensure design coordination of multi-disciplined projectsMaintaining high levels of accuracy and quality in the design documentationWhat you’ll bring to the team:Minimum 15 years design experience and checking in a Process Plant Design environmentExtensive use of 3D CAD systemsRelevant tertiary qualifications – certificate or diploma in Structural ,Mechanical and Piping DesignKnowledge of current design and detail drafting standardsWhat’s on offer:With over 800 employees across Australia, our focus is to create a rewarding working environment where you will be valued and appreciated for your knowledge, experience and innovative mind.
