Cooking: Take charge of cooking duties during busy periods, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and flavor by regularly tasting dishes and providing feedback to kitchen staff.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed to prevent shortages.
Training: Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, providing guidance on cooking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols.
Hygiene and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Menu Development: Contribute ideas for new menu items and specials, taking into account seasonal ingredients, dietary preferences, and customer feedback.
Kitchen Organization: Maintain cleanliness AND ORganization in the kitchen, including proper storage of equipment and ingredients.
Communication: Foster open communication among kitchen staff, front-of-house employees, and management to ensure a cohesive and efficient work environment.
Requirements:
Culinary Degree: A degree or diploma in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience working in a professional kitchen, with at least [X] years of experience in a similar role.
