Core requirements of the role
We seek a creative and talented culinary technician in the form of a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis, reporting to the Head Chef. Assisting the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen is operating in accordance with the culinary direction and standard set.

The successful applicant will be responsible for
- Menu development showcasing modern cuisine, reflecting current culinary trends
- Able to work harmoniously with the Food and Beverage team to deliver exceptional meals, in line with service standards to guarantee guest satisfaction
- Preparation and production of food items for buffet and menu/s to ensure they meet the standards of the prescribed recipes and specifications
- Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards
- Adaptable to work across multiple kitchen outlets when rostered
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs effectively
- Uphold strict health, hygiene and safety standards
- Plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation
- Coach, support and mentor junior chefs within the kitchen brigade
- Uphold strict health, hygiene and safety standards
About you
- Have a natural positive demeanor, with excellent communication, delegation and training skills
- Possess artistic and creative flair
- Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work collaboratively with a multicultural diverse team
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery Level 4 or above or equivalent
- Flexible to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and WH&S standards
- Demonstrated experience working in a 4- or 5-star hotel (desirable)
