We are currently seeking an experienced, and passionate Chef de Partie to join our Functions kitchen team.
As a Chef de Partie (CDP), you will collaborate with our Head Functions Chef in our busy function’s kitchen, consistently delivering high-quality food. Additionally, you will uphold the highest standards of food preparation, staying updated on new products, recipes, and techniques.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing meat and fish
- Ensuring quality and consistent food preparation and cooking
- Assisting with the management of health and safety
- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
- Overseeing and training any apprentices and kitchen hands
- Overseeing junior staff, including job delegation
- Monitoring portion and waste control
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
Essential:
- Must be an Australian Citizen or have Permanent Working Rights
- Fluent English
- Experience working in commercial kitchens is essential.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Minimum of one year experience in functions kitchen
- Formal cooking qualification (minimum certificate 3 in commercial cookery)
