Remuneration: $70,000 - $80,000 + superannuation
Snowy Shack Pty Ltd is seeking a Chef DePartie or Private Chef specializingin Asian cuisine, preferably with Japanese culinary experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity in menu development and food presentation, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of food costs, budgeting, and resource management. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential due to our remote location. With a minimum of 5 years' experience in premium restaurant environments, both locally and internationally, the candidate should possess genuine enthusiasm and creative thinking for working in a unique setting.
Role Summary
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience in creating and executing authentic Asian dishes is preferred, experience with Japanese cuisine would be an advantage.
- Creativity around menu development and food presentation
- Comprehensive understanding of food costs, budgeting, and resource management
- Strong organisational skills & time management due to our remote location
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in restaurants locally or internationally
- Genuine enthusiasm and creative thinking for working in a unique location

- A highly structured and organised approach, managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Source fresh, seasonal produce
- Buying, costing and working with suppliers
- Lead and manage kitchen staff positively while working within KPI's
- Manage food quality, portion control and presentation
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Understanding of costing and profits
