The Business Architect will be primarily responsible for identifying business products and stakeholder journeys for both citizens (taxpayers, concession holders, agents, and others) and departmental staff. This work is crucial to ensuring that technology design provides the right capabilities to supports the evolving needs of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into business product definitions and stakeholder journey maps.
- Ensure that the technology architecture aligns with the identified business products and stakeholder journeys.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes and performance and use these insights to inform the implementation of technology to support the new operating model.
- Participate in strategic planning activities, including the development of the Business Architecture and the creation of implementation blueprints.
- Provide progress reports as directed.
The candidate will need to be comfortable working in an agile environment; assisting stakeholders to make strategic decisions about business products and stakeholder journeys.
- Extensive experience in a wide range of Business Architecture activities.
- A relevant tertiary qualification (minimum bachelor’s degree) in digital/ICT related fields.
- A strong and recent background in identifying business products and mapping stakeholder journeys.
- Experience in working with technology architects and ensuring technology architectures align with business needs.
- Highly effective communicator with both business and ICT personnel possessing the ability to produce high quality information products.
- Recent experience in designing business solutions delivered using agile methodologies and knowledge of tax administration and land rates management systems will be well regarded
