Fishermens Wharf is seeking an experienced and qualified Chef for it's cafe at Huskisson NSW, with an immediate start for the right person.
We are searching for a talented and motivated individual for our kitchen.
We offer breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Our lunch menu is seafood based and we have an outstanding cafe breakfast menu.
The succesful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Experience in ordering stock and stock control
- Able to perform all prep work
- Ability to remain calm, focused under pressure and multi-task
- Can read order dockets and communicate these with other kitchen staff
- Formal qualifications and experience in comparable commericial kitchen operations.
- Friendly, hardworking and the right attitude to work as part of a team
- Available to work days, nights and weekends
Duties include:
- Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required
- Follow recipe and presentation specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Oversee and manage all kitchen operations
- Organise and clean the kitchen and kitchen equipment to hygiene and safety regulations
- Store and preserve all foodstuffs in appropriate temperature controlled facilities
- Train all other kitchen staff
- Measure and record food temperatures
- Menu planning and meal costs
Education:
- Cert III or higher qualifcation or at least 3 years fulltime experience
