We are seeking our next amazing Chef Manager for a Permanent Full Time role for our modern, light filled Care home in beautiful Morphettville.

Bupa Morphettville is a charming care home set in a quiet suburb of Adelaide. It is close to the local community with the Glenelg tram, racecourse and a variety of small shopping centres and plazas just steps away. It consists of 132 beds, with a variety of units. About the Role
As a Chef Manager at one of our care homes you will lead the provision of well presented, nutritious meals that meet Resident dining needs in a home like environment. You will ensure excellence at all times, whilst adhering to all related quality standards and regulations
Duties
- Ensure the efficient and high-quality functioning of the kitchen and catering service
- Review all feedback from residents and act accordingly to resolve any issues
- Manage safe and correct processes in food purchasing, storage, handling, and preparation
- Oversee the washing, preparation, and cooking of all foods, including vegetables, soups, sauces gravies, main dishes, desserts, sandwiches, salads, bread, and rolls
- Ensure that all meals are prepared fresh daily utilising seasonal produce
- Implement infection control principles and practices as per infection control policies
- Complete charts/ forms promptly and correctly as per duty list and Quality & Assurance Processes
- Identify training needs and requirements of Catering Staff - this includes changes to processes or resident requirements, introduction to new equipment safety or environmental regulations
- Work as an effective team leader by maintaining a positive attitude, respect, and communication with all members of the Catering team
What will you bring?
- Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Budget Management
- Understanding of Food Audits
- Hotel/Restaurant experience desirable but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders
- Effective time management and organisational skills
