Casual Chef/Cook – Ben Lomond 

We are looking to hire an experienced and qualified Chef or Cook to run our Kitchen on a Casual basis at Ben Lomond Snow Sports. Our Kitchen serves food all day to visitors coming to see the mountain, plus catering to a small number of hotel guests of an evening. You will work in a small kitchen, working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Kitchen staff start early and work throughout the day, serving a variety of hot foods of a high standard for our valued customers and helping to deliver the best experience every day.

The ideal candidate:

• Qualification as a chef or cook or equivalent level of experience.
• Experience working in a kitchen and follow our routine cleaning across the day and end of day.
• Stock management and provision experience.
• Excellent communication skills and initiative.
• Can work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Comfortable working in a small kitchen.
• Able to work independently.
• Strong Leadership skills.
• Lead a small team and delegate tasks.
• Adaptable to seasonality of the business.
• Ability to work longer hours where needed.
• Perform admin responsibilities and tasks required by management.
• Opportunity to be an ongoing position for the right applicant year round.

*Dates for the peak season are generally from June until September - heavily dependant on the snow conditions for the season. Summer operations currently 4 days per week from September until June.
