About the role
Want to work at a brand new, incredible facility with an awesome team of residents and staff? Then look no further! A fantastic opportunity is available for a Chef to join MercyCare in Maddington on permanent Full-time basis.
Our new state of the art Maddington home is due to open in the first half of 2024. This 108-bed home has exceptional facilities with all new equipment. Chef will be focusing on providing various and nutritious meals to our residents which aligns with their care plans. This role will be working with the team focusing on safe food principles and promoting wellbeing.
About you
You will be caring, driven to make a difference, and looking to join team which is making a difference every day in people’s life.

  • Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, Cert IV preferable
  • Demonstrated experience cooking for 50-100 residents in a Residential Aged Care setting or similar
  • Sound knowledge of Food Standards Australia New Zealand
  • Sound knowledge of dietary nutrition requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and participation as an active member of a team
  • Good time management and documentation skills
  • Infection Prevention Control Certificate
  • Food safety supervisor certificate
  • Evidence of Covid and Influenza Vaccination (preferable)
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
