- Reporting to the Group Manager - Strategy this position is responsible for working collaboratively as a senior member of the Strategy team delivering the development, execution and communication of Ampcontrol group and M&A strategy.
- You will play a critical role in helping Ampcontrol achieve its ambitious strategic goals to Grow, Innovate and Optimise.
- Establish, manage, and maintain partnerships with a broad range of internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication, negotiation, and information sharing.
- Identify, evaluate and mitigate the risks and challenges associated with mergers/acquisitions and provide advice regarding emerging or critical issues, key linkages, and strategic opportunities.
- You will be responsible for conducting research and valuation analysis to provide key decision makers accurate and reliable data to support strategic decision making.
- Assist in preparation of internal memoranda, presentations and papers for senior leadership and the Board.
- Support annual strategic planning processes and assist and coordinate the development of annual strategic objectives, metrics, targets and plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of strategic initiatives.
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, finance or related field - essential
- Excellent strategic agility and ability to work creatively and analytically in decision making and problem-solving environments, with excellent critical thinking and writing skills.
- You're an innovator, collaborator, and thought leader.
- Extensive experience in business and market research and analysis.
- Involvement and understanding of M&A processes and activities.
- Ability to work independently; can identify roadblocks and find solutions without the need for supervision.
- Demonstrated experience within management consulting, investment banking, or a corporate strategy role.
- You want to be at the forefront of innovation and solve the big problems.
- Qualifications in Law or Engineering would be advantageous.
- Previous experience within a capital intensive, infrastructure, energy or resources sector would be highly regarded.
