About the role
As the Head Chef, you'll lead our dynamic team in the Café Kitchen, crafting A la carte culinary experiences for our Retirement Living residents and their guests, that exceed expectations for taste & presentation. Your creative flair will shine as you curate delectable offerings for our Café patrons and elevate special events hosted by our Lifestyle Club. This exciting opportunity offers a full-time schedule, with the Café bustling seven days a week from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, plus the occasional catering for special events. When you join us, here's what's on the menu:
- Keeping your food's presentation and preparation up to our high standards
- Follow Goodwin's HACCP processes to identify and control food safety hazards in the handling of food in the kitchen and food service operations
- Ensure all menus are regularly updated, paying special attention to the nutritional needs of older people
What will you need?
A Certification III in Catering or Commercial Cookery, and Food Safety Supervision, along with your experience working with aged care facilities will serve you well in this role, And if you have knowledge of the Aged Care Act 1997 and have experience in work health and safety, then we would like to hear from you!
