The main function of this hands on role involves overseeing and assisting with daily production of a large volume of handmade sandwiches, wraps and rolls for our client base of 5 star hotels, stadiums, service stations and the like across Sydney.
Qualifications & experience
- Previous experience in food preparation / working in kitchens (ideally in a supervisory capacity)
- Ability to multitask & prioritise
- Attention to detail a must
- Good communication & team work
- Basic computer skills
- HACCP experience an advantage
Tasks & responsibilities
- Scheduling and managing daily production to meet daily delivery deadlines
- Production of handmade sandwiches, wraps & rolls
- Motivation, supervision & direction of a small team of catering assistants
- Quality control
- Ordering food supplies
- Input into weekly rosters
- Liaising with our Directors and Head Chef regarding daily work direction
- Maintaining proper food hygiene and safety practices
Benefits
- Lunch is provided daily! Shifts will be a rotating roster Monday - Sunday with approximately 40-45 hrs per week. Day shifts only - no nights.
