The European, a one hatted restaurant together with the City Wine Shop next door is on the hunt for professional and energetic chefs.
About the role
We are looking for motivated and passionate Chefs to work with our talented team on a full-time basis with 2 regular days off and no split shifts.
You will work closely with the Head Chef of the European to have input in menu design around the seasons and the ability to develop your career within our venues with an established restaurant group.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Demonstrated experience working as a qualified chef or cook in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
- Excellent pan skill, solid knowledge of sauces with a creative flair
- Have the desire to be involved in menu development including creating specials
- A strong understanding of ordering and stock rotation, including stock take
- Ensure cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen and surrounds
Key Selection Criteria
- 3+ years’ full-time work experience
- Qualification: Cert IV Commercial Cookery
- Exceptional organisation, communication and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
- Full work rights required
