Chief Exam Supervisor

St Patrick’s College is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 7 to 12 in the Edmund Rice tradition, founded in 1893 and conducted by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA).

The College is seeking to appoint a Chief Exam Supervisor to lead and facilitate the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) VCE examination process, ensuring the fair and consistent conduct of examinations in an environment that enables students to perform at their best.

This is a casual position, with varying hours in accordance with published examination schedules and associated administrative duties annually. Remuneration is aligned with rates published by VCAA.

Applicants need to meet the following VCAA Conditions of Appointment for Chief Supervisors:

Chief supervisors cannot be:

1. Related to or associated with any student required to sit the GAT or any student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2024.
2. Teaching or tutoring any student required to sit the GAT or any student in a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2024.
3. Related to or associated with any person engaged in teaching, tutoring or coaching any students required to sit the GAT or any student undertaking a VCE Unit 3 or 4 study in 2024, or any school personnel engaged in organising or checking VCE external assessment materials on behalf of a school in 2024.
4. Employed by the school in any other capacity, including as a teacher, casual relief teacher (CRT) or a member of the administration staff.

Appointed supervisors are required to complete the Supervisor Relationships Statutory Declaration and Conditions of Appointment well in advance of the first day of employment.

Supervisors cannot be employed at a school where they have taught VCE Units 1–2 and/or 3–4 in the last two years.

Step 2: Video Interview

• St Patrick's College will screen initial applications and select applicants who will progress to video interview stage
• Video Interview link will be emailed to selected applicants 

Step 3: Panel Interview

• St Patrick's College will screen initial applications and select applicants who will progress to panel interview stage
• Panel interview will be held at St Patrick’s College

Step 4: Reference Checking

• Following panel interview, preferred candidates will be reference checked

Step 5: Appointment

• Interviewed applicants will be notified of outcome by phone and email
