Our Beverley Recycling and Waste Centre provides an essential service for our community in recycling and waste, with the centre operating across 7 days. Our team members understand the importance of customer service and have a safety-first focus in their day to day duties. As an Operator Labourer, this position will have a primary focus to drive and operate the hook truck. The position is also required to operate other plant, equipment, the weighbridge, and undertake general labouring duties in a safe and efficient manner with a focus on customer service.
About you

- A strong safety focus to ensure their own safety and that of others in the workplace;
- Experience in general labouring and or waste removal;
- A positive outlook and good communication skills;
- Flexibility to work across weekends and outside of ordinary operating hours; and
- White card and HR truck licence are essential, with tickets in excavator, loader, or backhoe highly regarded.

About the detail
The Operator Labourer – Beverley Recycling and Waste Centre position is classified at the ME6 classification level with an annual salary starting of $74,721 plus superannuation (rate effective from 8 July 2024). At the City of Charles Sturt, we also offer:
