The Snowy Monaro Region comprises an area occupying the higher slopes of the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range between the Australian Capital Territory and the state boundary with Victoria. The region reflects a cultural diversity rooted in agriculture, gold mining, timber logging, skiing and the Snowy Mountains Scheme.

Reporting to the CEO, the role will have an emphasis on continuous improvement and development of efficient and effective workflow processes and systems while meeting regulatory and legislative requirements. As the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the Finance team and support the CEO in the Council's strategic management to ensure immediate and longer-term financial implications, opportunities and risks are fully considered and aligned with the organisation's financial strategy and CSP.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will promote the Council's vision as "A Trusted Community Partner" and the values that support this: Solutionary, Together, Accountable, Innovative, and Caring using these to guide decisions, actions, and conduct.

You will be tertiary qualified in a related discipline, possess demonstrated contemporary experience in senior executive roles, and have a current CPA or equivalent registration, which will make you a successful candidate in this important role.
