Where you'll be working
Royal North Shore Hospital Pharmacy Department is a diverse team of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians/Assistants and Pharmacy Support Staff. We are located in St. Leonards, NSW and support medication management for Royal North Shore Hospital. Royal North Shore is a principal tertiary referral hospital for Northern Sydney Local Health District providing a comprehensive range of complex services to patients from across NSW.
Pharmacy Services include inpatient, outpatient, clinical trials, aseptic sterile production pharmacy, distribution services, ordering and procurement and clinical pharmacy.
What you'll be doing
The Chief Pharmacy Technician manages the team of pharmacy assistants and technicians at RNSH, and is an important member of the Pharmacy Management Team. They responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the technical workforce, including weekly rostering, plus ensuring that the training and education needs of the assistants/technicians are met, and that all areas of the Pharmacy have adequate staffing.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications required for classification as Grade 4 Pharmacy Technician (i.e. Hospital Health Pharmacy Support - Certificate IV) and recent hospital pharmacy experience as a Grade 3 Pharmacy Technician.
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work both as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
- Ability to liaise with people at all levels and to communicate information clearly and accurately.
- Proven ability to train, support, supervise and manage staff..
