- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate systems and processes that identify risks and monitor all aspects of care and services
- Work with the Chair of the Quality & Safety board sub-committee in development of the agenda and associated papers
- Chair the Consumer Advisory Body and coordinate the bodies work
- Ensure that policy and procedures are consistently reviewed and updated to ensure they align with the needs of the organisation and relevant legislation
- Support and liaise with content experts in any partnerships with tertiary or research institutions for the purposes of research studies and innovation both in clinical and services
- Manage education and training to ensure a flexible and appropriate schedule is in place that is responsive to operational needs of the organisation
- Access, implement and develop, if necessary, mechanisms to drive consistent best practice protocols through all business processes
- Establish protocols and feedback mechanisms to ensure that all compliance standards are identified and adhered to, and that any deficiencies are highlighted to the responsible person
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the aged care sector and what is best practice in aged care
- Extensive knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards, OH&S legislations and other Acts as they pertain to all aspects of operating quality and education programs
- 2 – 5 years’ experience within the Health Care or Aged Care industry or a compliance and governance role contributing at a strategic /operational / managerial level
- Demonstrated HR experience including, staff management, employee relations, financial, public relations and change management
- Management experience with well-developed team leadership skills, problem solving, influencing and organisational skills
