What you'll be doing
The Manager provides a quality, sustainable diagnostic imaging service by actively participating in the multidisciplinary delivery of person-focused services to the patients, clients and clinicians of Southern NSW LHD.
Selection Criteria * Current Authority to Practice as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with NSW EPA licence to use radiation (IA14).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact with and engage a wide range of people.
  • Ability to build and manage a team, including optimising workflows and monitoring service provision with minimal direction. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or senior management experience. Experience in human resource management, recruitment and professional development of staff.
  • Experience developing and optimising a range of clinical services, including protocols and new services.
  • Evidence of ongoing personal CPD, and development and implementation of programs to supervise and develop other staff at a range of different skill levels.
  • Experience applying legislation and regulations to medical imaging, experience developing policies and procedures for medical imaging, and experience in the accreditation of imaging services.
  • Experience in strategic management of imaging services, including finances, succession planning, service development, and accreditation, in order to ensure that services are sustainable in the long term.
  • Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires.

This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive . All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
All NSW Health Category A workers are required to have received at least three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. You will be required to provide a record of your COVID-19 vaccination status if successful.
