Child, Youth And Family Case Manager

Help improve parent capacity, family resilience & increase child safety.

Organisation;

Our client is one of the largest not for profit organisations in Australia which provides support to individuals, families and communities and helps people achieve positive outcomes.

Role;

You'll be working closely with the children and families on your caseload using strength-based frameworks, aiming to improve parent capacity, family resilience, increase safety of children and reduce risk of OOHC.
To achieve this, amongst other duties you will:

• Weekly home visits
• Engage clients using assessment and risk minimisation processes
• Develop, implement, monitor and review client plans
• Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders
• Child protection reports when required
• Document case notes and client reports

Criteria;

• Tertiary qualifications in social work, early childhood, psychology or similar.
• Minimum of 12 months case management experience working with disadvantaged children, young people & families
• Experience undertaking comprehensive assessments
• A strong understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities such as drug and alcohol use, domestic violence, mental health issues, and more.
• A strong understanding of the impact of trauma and the effect on child behaviour and development.
• Understand the needs of diverse communities such as Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander, CALD,& LGBTIQA+

Additional Information;

• Immediate start available
• Must have a current NSW drivers licence
• Must have a successful NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police check is required prior to starting in this role
• Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
