Help improve parent capacity, family resilience & increase child safety.
Organisation;Our client is one of the largest not for profit organisations in Australia which provides support to individuals, families and communities and helps people achieve positive outcomes.
Role;
You'll be working closely with the children and families on your caseload using strength-based frameworks, aiming to improve parent capacity, family resilience, increase safety of children and reduce risk of OOHC.
To achieve this, amongst other duties you will:
- Weekly home visits
- Engage clients using assessment and risk minimisation processes
- Develop, implement, monitor and review client plans
- Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders
- Child protection reports when required
- Document case notes and client reports
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, early childhood, psychology or similar.
- Minimum of 12 months case management experience working with disadvantaged children, young people & families
- Experience undertaking comprehensive assessments
- A strong understanding of child protection issues and client vulnerabilities such as drug and alcohol use, domestic violence, mental health issues, and more.
- A strong understanding of the impact of trauma and the effect on child behaviour and development.
- Understand the needs of diverse communities such as Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander, CALD,& LGBTIQA+
- Immediate start available
- Must have a current NSW drivers licence
- Must have a successful NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Police check is required prior to starting in this role
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
