Are you passionate about early childhood education and ready to take on a leadership role? Our childcare centre in Puckapunyal is seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dedicated team.
About Us: One Tree Defence Unit Puckapunyal located near Seymour in Regional Victoria, is committed to providing an enriching and nurturing environment where children thrive. We adhere to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), focusing on delivering high-quality educational programs that foster holistic development. We have placements for 86 children across our long day care. We have several rooms including pre kinder, nursery, toddler room, preschool and outside of school hours care. Our operating hours are 7 am to 6 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the overall management and operation of the childcare centre.
- Support the Centre Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for children.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Actively participate in team building and professional development initiatives.
- Demonstrate confidence in your abilities to lead and inspire a team.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role within a childcare setting.
- Diploma in Children's Services
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Proven ability to build and lead a cohesive team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
