Childcare Chef/Cook

Bower Education is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and engaging Chef/Cook for their Cranley House Nursery School and ELC in Eastwood.

We are committed to promoting healthy eating habits and ensuring that every child receives nutritious and delicious meals. We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Chef/Cook to join our team.

As a Chef/Cook at Cranley House, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our children by preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks. You will be responsible for planning and executing daily menus that meet the dietary needs of children while adhering to food safety and hygiene standards. Creativity and a genuine love for cooking are highly valued in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan and prepare balanced and age-appropriate meals and snacks for children.
2. Ensure that all meals meet dietary requirements and cater to any allergies or special dietary needs.
3. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, following all health and safety guidelines.
4. Collaborate with the children and staff to create a positive dining and learning experience for children.
5. Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
6. Foster a love for healthy eating habits in children by introducing them to a variety of foods and flavours.
7. Engage in effective communication with parents regarding meal plans and dietary concerns.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Chef/Cook
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for children.
• Relevant food safety training.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Creativity and a passion for cooking nutritious and appealing meals for children.
