Early Childhood Educator – Full-time Room Leaders- 0-2 years and 2-3 years

The Centre

Dashing Ducks Croydon opened in January 2022. We are growing our enrolments and looking to expand our team of educators. Our centre is privately owned and is licensed for 73 children. At Dashing Ducks, we ensure that children have the right to an environment that stimulates learning. Our indoor/outdoor program enables children and educators uninterrupted play time, with embedded intentional teaching and transition to school skills development.

The Role

We are looking for passionate and energetic Early Childhood Educators to lead our nursery and Toddler room. We are looking for someone who can provide strong leadership skills to lead a small team of educators. You will be part of the centre's leadership team, driving the philosophy, vision, and values of Dashing Duck’s Pre-School. For this role you will be required to:

• Plan, implement and evaluate play-based learning programs (EYLF)
• Document children’s learning through observations and daily journals
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to develop strong relationships with the children, families, and colleagues
• Provide a safe and stimulating play environment
• Essential: a passion for children, being proactive, and ability to have fun!

Qualifications and experience

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
• A current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Experience and knowledge of the National Quality Framework – Law & Regulations, EYLF and Standards
• Current knowledge of Child Protection legislation
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
• Previous Experience is desirable, but not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00 – $42.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
