We have a permanent opportunity for a Power Worker (Trade Assistant) to join our team based in Childers.

To successfully fulfil the requirements of this position, you will be required to reside in the Childers area.

Remuneration:

  • From $85,164 per annum + 12.75% superannuation.  The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the applicant’s knowledge, skill and competencies required for the position.

About the role:

As a Power Worker (Trade Assistant), you will be a key contributor to the team, assisting our tradespersons with the construction, maintenance and associated activities on our overhead and underground electrical networks.

About you:

Critical to your success in the role, is your:

  • Current ‘C’ class open driver licence.
  • Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing.
  • Current High Risk Work Licence (forklift, C2 Crane) is desirable.
  • Experience in safety observing and your ability to actively identify and implement risk control measures where needed.
  • Experience in material and stock handling.
  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs. 
  • Availability for call out and emergency work.
  • Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.

You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
