- 21 hours per week across 3 days during weekdays (to be negotiated) with an additional 4 hours every second Sunday
- Hourly rate $38.71 to $45.97 + 11% Super

About the role:
In this role you will support Council's vision and leadership in the delivery of high quality collections, services and programmes for children and young adults. You will engage and partner with relevant Council departments, as well as local community organisations to broaden capacity and deliver enhanced programmes that are vibrant and relevant to the needs of our children and young people. The role also participates in the Library and Community Hub Customer Care Roster.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Library and Information Services recognised by ALIA. Applicants nearing the completion of their studies are also encouraged to apply
- Contemporary knowledge of best practice, current trends and issues, and be passionate and energetic about supporting children and youth
- Demonstrated experience in collection development and management of children’s and young adult collections, as well as experience in the development and implementation of library programmes targeting these groups
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and high level organisational skills with the ability to think critically and analytically
Key Requirements:
- COVID 19 vaccination for all employees (2 Vaccines)
- A Working with Children Check clearance
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment
