We are Tasmania's only Gonstead Chiropractic Clinic and we are helping our community to overcome chronic physical and mechanical health problems. As part of the team, your role will be essential to the patient's overall treatment experience. You will be supported by all members of staff not just within the job scope but also when you're out of the clinic. You will be making a difference in our patient's lives. 3-months' probation on a Casual Contract before being made Permanent Part-Time. Up to 24 hours weekly.
Qualifications & experience
- Customer Service experience in any industry is vital. Minimum 1 year of experience. Experience in Healthcare will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills to cater to a wide range of patients who have different emotional needs and cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to develop quality working relationships - teamwork is essential in this fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledge. Be committed to your formal and ‘on the job’ training.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Serve patients by greeting and helping them, checking in and out, scheduling appointments, processing payments and insurance claims, and maintaining their records and accounts.
- Maintain clinic operations by following policies, procedures, and task lists.
- Protect and maintain patient's accounts and confidentiality.
- Comfort patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties, answering patients’ questions, and maintaining the reception area. Helping patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Contribute and support the team by accomplishing provided tasks, and by advancing the interests of the employer. Tasks may include but are not limited to: contacting existing patients, promotion of services, and explaining what chiropractic and massage are about.
- Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording, and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims.
- Maintain business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing, and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
- To a certain extent, manage and be part of the clinic’s social media accounts and attend to queries presented on related social media platforms.
- Attend paid team meetings and trainings.
- At times, manage the appointment book and phone calls during working hours and away from the clinic (Work from home).
