ABOUT THE ROLE
The Head Coach works in consultation with the Education Manager and Assistant Coaches to provide professional coaching expertise across all aspects of delivery, planning and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for student athletes to support their athletic development..
You will be a key and active participant of the Allied Health Department key and active participant of the Allied Health department and works to promote core values of Chisholm, business growth and student-centred services within a high-level coaching context to Chisholm Sports Academy students.
Your key accountabilities will be to:
- Lead the planning, design, development and implementation of high quality coaching sessions to engage and maximise the athletic talent of each student
- Develop and promote coaching practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage student athletes
- Provide coaching session plan documentation for the purposes of program validation and continuous improvement
- Design and implement tools to monitor, measure and report on athletic development
- Monitor, document and provide timely feedback regarding athletic development and performance of students.
You are a highly motivated individual with previous experience coaching in a Sports Academy, state or national competition and have a solid understanding of the concepts of holistic athlete development, sports science/sports medicine. You have effective communication skills and can develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds.
You will also have -
- Coaching Accreditation - minimum Association level accreditation
- Coaching currency as demonstrated through relevant coaching accreditation scheme
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment or Diploma in VET Practice
- Advanced level coaching accreditation (Master or Performance)
- Vocational qualifications at AQF level 5 or above
