Chocolatier at Mörk Chocolate

Founded 11 years ago, Mörk Chocolate began as a specialty drinking chocolate maker and has since grown into a renowned family-owned brand with a passion for cacao and authentic chocolate experiences, becoming a Melbourne benchmark for quality hot chocolate. With headquarters in Melbourne, our operations include four stores and a dedicated Cacao Roastery & Chocolate Foundry where we produce artisanal bean-to-bar chocolate.
We are seeking a talented, passionate, and fast-learning Chocolatier to join our dedicated chocolate maker team. As a key member, you will produce a range of chocolate products, from pralines to bars and seasonal specialties. You'll work closely with our small, highly skilled team in an environment that values teamwork, organization, and a meticulous approach to chocolate craftsmanship. A flexible approach is a must.
Key Responsibilities
● Production of various chocolate products using standard methods of tempering and decorating
● Panning products
● Packaging chocolate products with great attention to detail
● Assisting in the production of bean-to-bar chocolate as required
● Detailed cleaning and maintenance of chocolate equipment
● Communicating with stores and the warehouse as needed
Requirements
● Minimum 1-2 years of practical experience as a Chocolatier
● Proficiency in working with chocolate equipment and tempering methods
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
● Ability to work with pace and confidence in a dynamic environment
● Flexibility and willingness to assist in various tasks outside your primary expertise
● A passion for chocolate and a desire to learn about the bean-to-bar process
● Ability to plan your time efficiently via weekly plan and independently
