Our client is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their team in Perth. The ideal candidate will hold 2/3 years’ experience in Civil Designing and will have proficiency in 12D Model software and be comfortable primarily with drafting tasks, with the opportunity to transition into earthworks design work.
This role is an office-based role located in Perth CBD with occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Prepare drawings, diagrams, and schematics for civil engineering projects, including site plans, layouts, and profiles.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the review and modification of existing designs and drawings as needed.
- Support the development of earthworks design work, including grading plans and drainage designs, under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in design meetings and contribute ideas to improve design processes and efficiency.
- Maintain organized project documentation and files, ensuring version control and proper archiving.
- Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to Civil Design and drafting.
- Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
- Proficiency in 12D Model software for Civil Design and drafting.
- Previous experience in drafting within the mining or construction industry is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings and plans.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to transition into earthworks design work as opportunities arise.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet project deadlines.
