The Role
We are looking for focused and performance-driven individuals to join our team in the roles of Civil Designer, Civil Engineer, or Civil Project Manager.
You may be a Designer or Engineer with your sight set on a senior role or a Senior Designer or Engineer looking to lead a team and/or for a great lifestyle.
We are looking for talented individuals with excellent client and staff communication skills. To be the right person you will have excellent design and documentation skills and knowledge, commercial awareness, and project management understanding. You will back this up with your passion for your craft and your goal to be among the best in your field.
In this role you will be working with our engineering team across all offices to deliver a diverse and exciting project portfolio across multiple sectors.
About You
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:
Mandatory skills:
- 5+ years’ local (Australian) applied civil design and documentation and/or civil project management experience in an engineering consultancy in a Civil Designer, Civil Engineer or Civil Project Manager role.
- Multiple sector design, documentation and/or project management experience in an engineering consultancy (residential, commercial, industrial) with a demonstrated knowledge of the relevant codes and standards and council, roads, and water authority requirements.
- Majority of experience in the design, documentation and /or project management of buildings civil and civil infrastructure associated with commercial and residential development including storm water and drainage infrastructure, earthworks, water and sewer, roads, carparks and pavements.
- Experience with civil design software – 12D or Civil 3D or Civil Site Design and AutoCAD.
- Experience with managing, developing, fostering and maintaining relationships with clients, authorities and councils.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and lead and mentor junior employees.
- Strong project management and commercial focus.
Desirable skills:
- Tertiary qualification.
- Experience in forecasting resources.
- Experience in successfully managing projects to budget, schedule and quality.
- Ability to successfully lead, coordinate and manage teams on engineering projects.
- Relevant site experience including supervision, investigation, surveillance, site classification and subsequent report writing and sign-off.
- Business development experience including tendering.
- Construction Industry White Card.
- Project management and leadership skills.
- Victorian Endorsed Professional Engineer Registration.
- Chartered Status or Eligible for Chartered Status with Engineer Australia.
- NER approved.
