The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Civil Engineer that has roughly 3 years experience to join an established company in Shailer Park, Brisbane. In this role you will oversee a number of Civil Engineering and flooding projects, delivering support and expertise on large scale projects throughout SEQ.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations.
- Civil engineering design and documentation for urban development and civil infrastructure projects using 12D and AutoCAD.
- Provide direction in the pursuit of technical excellence in all design work produced for your projects.
- Preparation of flood assessments for development approval including Flood Impact Assessments, Overland Flow Assessments and Stormwater Management Plans.
- Hydraulic modelling capability using TUFLOW.
- Provide direction in the pursuit of technical excellence in all flood risk management produced for your projects.
- Ensuring client expectations are understood, met, and exceeded.
About you:
You'll be willing to help out, hard-working and have excellent communication skills. We require someone with a passion for the industry who is committed and motivated. And ideally has,
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated Civil Engineering experience within a consulting environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (Minimum Diploma of Civil Engineering)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in civil infrastructure design preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of design software including AutoCAD and 12D preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of QGIS, TUFLOW and WBNM
- Thorough knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation, QUDM and Australian Standards.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements.
- A commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development with the enthusiasm to learn.
- A willingness to assist where required to meet project milestones and requirements.
- Be reliable and trustworthy and be able to collaborate easily.
