Form of workAbout the Company: Shamrock Civil Engineering is a leading mid-tier civil construction contractor with expertise in Bulk Earthworks projects. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for experienced Construction Project Engineers willing to work on a DIDO or FIFO basis from Brisbane to the Surat Basin region for potential upcoming projects.
About the Role: As a Civil Engineer specialising in Bulk Earthworks with Shamrock Civil Engineering, you will play a vital role in assisting the Estimator and Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering to project delivery and finalisation. Your responsibilities will include project coordination, contract review, pricing variations, quality assurance, and safety and environmental management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in estimating projects under the guidance of the Estimator and Project Manager.
- Coordinate project development from tendering to finalization, including survey control and documentation.
- Review project and contractual documentation to ensure alignment with tender specifications.
- Price variations accurately and in a timely manner as requested by the Project Manager.
- Prepare Construction Time Pathways (CTP’s) in collaboration with the Construction Supervisor.
- Manage requests for Information (RFI’s) and ensure timely responses and documentation.
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality workmanship.
- Maintain project QA documentation, including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s).
- Monitor quality and environmental issues and take corrective action as directed.
- Maintain control and distribution of drawings and documents in line with quality standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend solutions to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience:
- General safety induction card.
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
- Sound understanding of modern construction techniques and project methodologies.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Project.
- Experience in project coordination and contract management.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and safety/environmental management practices.
