Civil Engineering Draftsperson
Lee Brothers Fencing Pty Ltd is a security fence construction and installation business that has been working on commercial and industrial projects for over 76 years.
Our business requires a full-time Civil Engineering Draftsperson who will be responsible for drafting of drawings, charts and other documentation, with the instruction and collaboration of client engineers on security fencing construction projects in order to prepare tender prices for the works, ensuring positive outcomes in:
o Safety.
o Program
o Quality
o Environment
o Budget
POSITIONS DETAILS:
· Location: Preston, Melbourne VIC
· Full time position
· Work duration: min 38 hours per week. Some weekend work may be required.
· Qualification: Diploma level or higher qualification relevant to Civil engineering and 5 years of relevant industry experience
· No licencing or registration requirements
TASKS/DUTIES:
- Drafting, laying out, and detailing the specifications for the construction, modification, maintenance, or use of fences.
- Collaborating in the drafting of fences and preparing executive booklets based on specifications and details provided by client engineers.
- Carrying out surveys and cost estimation of projects and giving offers for supplying building materials.
· preparing as-built plans prior and during project and archiving these plans to be accessible by engineers or where needed.
· Cooperating in preparing and drawing diagrams, tables, and charts using data extracted from details of project to be archived in project archive.
· Maintains communications with client engineers, site engineers, project managers and construction workers.
· Monitor and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
· May be required to travel to inspect project site.

Salary offered is between $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.
