Job description

CareerDC Internships charges a fee for coordinating each Internship Program. You will get a tailored resume, interview training, unlimited interviews, access to our network of host companies, an internship placement relevant to your studies, an accredited WIL course (where applicable), and support during your internship.

Gain invaluable knowledge and skills that will be useful in your future career.

The Civil Engineering Internship Program is a great option if you’re studying engineering in Australia, need industry experience relevant to your degree, and want academic credit for the internship.

It’s suitable for international engineering students in Australia who need practical local Civil Engineering work experience with Australian companies. The Internship Program is also open to local students.

If you’re a new graduate or your degree does not require an internship, you can enrol in an Internship Program and combine your internship placement with an accredited Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program.

CareerDC facilitates the Internship Program. We are work experience placement coordinators. For over a decade, we’ve assisted engineering students in Australia in getting degree-relevant work experience through internship placements with local businesses.

To give you some examples, the internship host companies include:

  • A company based in Western Australia that specialises in a range of sustainable structures and engineering projects.
  • A NSW-based business that offers various professional consulting services and engineering solutions.\
  • A design and construction company in ACT that offers utility infrastructure services across Australia.

As another example, your internship could include any combination of the following types of tasks and learning experiences, depending on the host company:

  • Using software or calculations to determine stress and strain on critical structural members
  • Assisting designers using AutoCAD
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical reports
  • Reviewing architectural plans and structural designs
  • Learning about identifying and analysing load-bearing components and structural elements

Apply now with your resume to get the full details and to find out what is included in the Internship Program. The Internship Program has a coordination fee that also covers the internship placement.

To apply and to get full details on the program and how it works, send your resume to CareerDC.
