This position carries out operational tasks under general supervision to deliver efficient and effective civil maintenance and construction services.

About You
To undertake this position, you will have extensive experience and knowledge of bitumen/asphalt repairs involving the operation of specialised road patching plant (Flocon truck).
You will have experience and the ability to use/operate relevant civil construction tools, plant and machinery.
Furthermore, the successful incumbent will have the ability to work as an effective team member of a high performing team.
The position's focus will be:
- General construction and maintenance labouring tasks involving preparation, placement and compaction of asphalt/bituminous products.
- Perform designated tasks during the maintenance and minor construction of various Council assets that required the use of asphalt and bituminous products.
- Ensure that all daily documentation is completed on time (e.g. Asset management) and report operational and safety matters to the relevant officer.
- Drive rigid motor vehicle exceeding 11 tonne GVM.
- Work effectively as a member of a high performing work team and ensuring the provision of quality customer service at all times.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in a timely manner to the required quality standards.
- Participate, as required, in the after-hours duty roster and provide assistance during emergencies such as floods, bushfires, etc.
- Such other relevant duties as required from time to time which would generally fall within the scope of this position.
