AddressC&H Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Foreman or Leading Hand to join our client's experienced team and oversee their civil construction projects. As a Civil Foreman / Leading Hand, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards and entail commitment of the project’s success in the delivery expertise in Health, Safety and Environment, Planning and Programming, Commercial Management, Technical Duties, and Compliance.
Duties
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to efficiently execute civil construction projects within Traffic signals, Road lighting, Intelligent Transport Systems infrastructure, and General electrical works
- Monitor and enforce adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, taking proactive measures to address any issues or delays with project plans and specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations by providing technical support to field staff including project specification requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical and logistical challenges, and provide timely updates on project status
- Certificate III in Civil Construction or proven experience as a Civil Foreman in the construction industry, with a strong background in civil engineering and construction techniques
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools, alongside the ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate construction teams
- Driver’s License (MR Truck License minimum)
- Construction Industry card (blue/white card)
- Excavation Plant licenses (Desirable)
- First Aid (Desirable)
- Energex WCS 2, 31, 37, and 61 compliance (Desirable)
