The PositionWe are currently seeking a Labourer with Civil/Road Project experience for work on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Project, one of the largest infrastructure projects in the South West. This position is available for an IMMEDIATE START.
The role is casual with full-time hours, with the opportunity for overtime. You would be looking at 9.5 hour days.
The option to go permanent full-time is considered after a 3-month probation.
Duties:
- On your feet/walking for over 9 hours a day, you will need to be physically fit for this position.
- Digging and shovelling as required.
- Checking soil moisture levels and providing information/data to operators and supervisors.
- Completing JSA/SWMS and attending regular Toolbox Talks
- Loading and unloading equipment and materials for the day
- Other labouring duties as required.
Essential criteria:
- MUST be able to pass a drug and alcohol test before commencement and on-going.
- You must have a solid understanding of English and be able to speak and write English fluently.
- Have an understanding of how Civil/Roads projects work, and previous experience on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road as a Labour is advantages.
- You must be safety-focused, switched on and be a quick learner.
- Have a Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport to and from work.
- Have a White Card
The ideal candidate will be:
- Punctual and reliable (there is possibility of up-skilling to an operator position for the right candidate).
- Be accountable and responsible for their own actions.
- Take pride in your personal presentation and the work that you do.
