The Rookwood Weir is a landmark project that will capture valuable water in the lower Fitzroy River for use across the Central Queensland region. The project is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments and will provide water security for the Central Queensland region, boost the regional economy, create jobs during construction and develop and diversify industry and agriculture.
