Civil Site Supervisor

The Role:
If you’ve got experience in Civil Construction and ready take up a leadership role, my client is looking for a Civil Site Supervisor to support projects across Central Otago. You’ll oversee work to ensure all activities meet the H&S requirements, liaise with the Operations Manager and Engineer on a regular basis and responsible for the plant, equipment, and materials onsite. You will also be required to be hands on as and where required.
 
Key responsibilities include:

• Ensure full compliance with quality systems, maintain accountability, and promptly report deviations.
• Encourage good environmental practices among our employees, subcontractors, and clients,
• Demonstrate strong communication by regular discussions with the site engineer regarding the quality control systems.
• Assist in development of staff, training them onsite and identify off job training needs with the Operations Manager.
• Assist with and ensure Company plant and equipment is used correctly, effectively and maintained regularly and the required plant and equipment certification and regulations are complied with.
• Deliver paperwork tasks in an efficient manner. Complete daily tailgate meetings and identify site hazards regularly.

 
To be successful you will have:

• Drivers license with class 1, 2, WTR,
• Relevant Trade Qualification or New Zealand Industry experience,
• Minimum 3 years civil construction experience,
• Physically capable of completing the tasks required,
• Proven leadership skills to train, coach and develop staff,
• Excellent communication skills to liaise at all levels with various stakeholders.

Salary - $35 -$42 per hour
Located – Wanaka but will be required to travel for different projects around Central Lakes District.
