Civil Structural Project Engineer- Leading Builder

Randstad is currently working with an industry leading organization which delivers major construction projects domestically and internationally, it has a fantastic reputation in the industry and has exceptional relationships with its clients. Many of the projects are set in remote locations and have strict quality and completion targets that must be met. With a current project pipeline of over $150 million of work in hand, this organization is growing rapidly and is expected to be awarded more projects in 2024. As a result, it is looking for a Civil Structural Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of the civils structural packages of work on two major defence building projects.

The Civil and Structural Project Engineer is pivotal in assessing, and overseeing the civil & structural aspects of construction projects. This role ensures that all structures are safe, durable, and optimally integrated with the environmental and operational requirements of the site.

Suitable candidates will be responsible for:

• Assist in the procurement & installation of civil & structural components on site, ensuring they meet project specifications and Australian Standards.

• Manage and oversee civil & Structural Project elements, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within budget.

• Ensuring quality of works during installation of civil and structural systems on site.

• Ensure all installations comply with Australian local, state, and federal regulations, industry safety standards and project specifications.

• Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to align Civil Structural packages with the overall project goals.

Candidates would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia if acquired overseas).

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in civil and structural engineering, including minimum of 3 years in Australia, specifically in a construction site setting.

• Strong understanding of the civil and structural standards and safety regulations in Australia.
