Role Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our management team, you will oversee and coordinate various aspects of bulk earthworks and park reconstruction projects in the Canberra region. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with proven leadership skills to play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile projects that shape the landscape of our city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate civil construction activities, including bulk earthworks, site grading, drainage, and landscaping.
- Manage on-site personnel, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure efficient project delivery within budget and schedule constraints.
- Implement and enforce all relevant safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate delays or disruptions.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide regular updates on project status and address any concerns or inquiries.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or similar role in the civil construction industry.
- Sound knowledge of bulk earthworks techniques, park reconstruction methods, and relevant industry standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Valid driver's license and construction white card.
- Cert IV in Civil Construction or equivalent qualifications will be highly regarded.
