Civil Supervisor - Bulk Earthworks

Great opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on projects such as earthworks, demolition, excavation, piling, retention, foundations etc. Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, they are looking for a experienced and dedicated Civil Supervisorto join their growing business.
  
Our client provides their services across a number of industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, transport infrastructure, environmental etc. and you will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.
  
Types of projects include build earthworks, demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation and rehabilitation etc. Typical values from $2.5m to $25m but can go up to $50m+.
  
This role is for a project which will be based on site in the Fraser Coast area, the candidate will either live locally or DIDO (drive in, drive out).
  
Candidate must have Bulk Earthworks experience and have managed scrapers, dozers, moxy, bigger plant etc. Project will be circa $60m-$70m.
  
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervision of crews, plant, machinery, and subcontractors on site
• Lead the production, support and delivery of the projects in line with time, cost, and quality and compliance requirements
• Programme daily site works
• Coordination of employees, subcontractors, plant and equipment
• Provide advice, direction and support to the project staff
• Ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience on civil projects, must have Bulk Earthworks experience
• Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate
• Well-developed skills in planning and scheduling
• Effective problem solving abilities
• High level of organisation and time management skills
• Strong computer & paperwork skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
