The ProjectThe CPB Contractors, Ghella & UGL joint venture has been successful in securing the contract to deliver the $3.1bn M6 Stage 1 project. The project will deliver the missing link from Sydney's south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.With works commenced in early 2022, the M6 Stage 1 project scope includes the construction of twin four-kilometre tunnels and associated works, linking the M8 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah.
The OpportunityWe are looking for motivated
Project Engineers with a can-do attitude to provide on-site engineering support to our fun and hard-working Civil and Tunnelling Teams.Reporting to the Senior
Project Engineer, some of the role's key accountabilities include;
- Managing the short and long term construction planning for works under control including submittals, start-up planning and programming
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural Framework, policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations;
- Coordinate procurement and construction elements for the designated work area
- Ensure Quality requirements are included in project delivery documentation including subcontractor and supplier packages
- Assisting in preparing accurate monthly reports
- Developing and monitoring KPI and productivity analysis against program and budget
- Working with site Supervisors and site teams
- Actively liaising with subcontractors and suppliers
- Liaising with project team members
About YouThe successful candidate will have;- Recognised degree in engineering discipline
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- Manage self and others to deliver work to between $1M and $10M
- Applying engineering principles to comply with scope of works and technical criteria (SWTC)
- Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 4 weeks ahead and weekly reporting against cost and time
- Be willing to take full responsibility for assigned works and deliver it independently.
- Be assertive and be able to clearly communicate with all members on the team.
- Development of SHEQ process and procedures and management of others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
