Title: Civil Water Engineer/Hydraulic EngineerThis opportunity is for a Civil Engineer with water industry experience covering planning, FEED, detailed design or construction.You’ll be a key member of KBR’s Water team in Adelaide that has exposure across various industries from water utilities, civil infrastructure, defence and hydrogen.Working together, KBR and SA Water have a collective goal of delivering a $1.8 billion capital investment program of interesting and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure across South Australia. To do this we are innovating by adapting a better, more sophisticated approach to how we plan, manage, and deliver new programs. We also work closely with the Australian Defence Force on projects across facilities throughout Australia. Your role will be working on behalf of the community to improve safety, reliability, cost and communication.As part of our team, you will play a key role in team development of junior engineers and strongly contribute to client relationships, technical oversight, and the commercial success of the business unit. You will collaborate with a diverse team of talented people who are committed to supporting our clients through long-term partnership arrangements; not to mention a key contributor to delivering projects.Who are you?We are looking for a design focused Civil Engineer with experience in either water pipelines, pump stations, hydraulics, treatment plants, water or wastewater. You will be motivated by achievement, outcome-focused and present professionally and in a friendly manner to peers, clients, and stakeholders.You will have previous experience in a similar senior role in the water sector and effective communication and people skills. Any experience in strategic planning and investigation would be beneficial, you will be involved from concept design through detailed design and issuing for construction, you will produce high-quality reports and proposals.You will have the following skills and experience:
- Hold an accredited Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Design experience with knowledge of industry standards.
- Proven ability to work in engineering, and design modelling teams, work directly with Water Authority clients, and manage projects to scope, budget and program.
- Previous experience gained within an engineering consultancy environment.
- You are on the path to becoming a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or have eligibility to apply for this accreditation.
